Idea

The FPA is growing at a tremendous rate but we need to get more press coverage. One way to do this is to request coverage from news organizations who occasionally write stories about new open-source, non-profits.

If you want to help, let me know who you will contact, (you don't have to contact everyone, other people can help) and I will assign you to the issue.

Background

The Fairfield Programming Association was founded in 2020 by William McGonagle and Neil Chaudhari. William McGonagle is now the President of the FPA, and his LinkedIn profile is here. And Neil Chaudhari is the Vice President of the FPA, and his LinkedIn profile is here. The Fairfield Programming Association is currently hiring many new senior engineers to lead teams of junior engineers in building tons of new projects including an open-source educational website for programming, a social network for young programmers, and development tools like linters, testers, server hosting software.

Some numbers- in the last weeks: we made it onto the GitHub Explore page, our blog has over 500 daily readers, we have contributors from five different countries, and we are in talks to organize a programming competition between a number of high schools and colleges in the northeastern United States.
