Don't be a crybaby and stand by your work.
First and foremost let me thank you for all hard work you put to provide us this great software. I really appreciate that.
That said I have to say you're being fool. It's normal to find people that disagree with us. We will never be able to please everyone.
It's even healthy the fact some people disagree with us. It give us a chance for reflecting whether we're in the right path.
For those that are rude and that don't argue politely just ban them and delete their comments. Simple like that.
Stop working on your project is the worst thing you can do.
You harm yourself and all fans of your work.
Worse than that, you give the taste of victory to these envious people who delight in offending and detracting the others.
Are you really going to give them that pleasure?
The best answer you could give to them is make actix even better and more successful than ever.
Think about it.
Regards.
@plicatibu I also think in your way, actix-web
is awesome, I can even say it's the best web framwork ever (in my opinion), I'm keeping using it for so long, from 0.7 to now. It moves fast and many people are contributing, sure someone is jealous if it's not him the author of such a great work.
But as a mature man, why should we take other shits' opinion into heart. Please, stand up and keep doing this great work.
Don't be a crybaby and make a framework yourself.
His framework his choice.
Regarding what people say its easy to say we can ignore but its hard in reality when flock of people comes and bombard repo with unsafe issue. Framework is driven by philosophy and there is consistency. One thing can change and have ripple effect on entire code .

While the original comment has a good intention, the post's title couldn't be worst. Why not have a title like "Don't Give in To Trolls" or something to that effect? Calling the author a crybaby is derogatory. Especially if you're not willing to step up and help in the project.
He has donating his personal time, so it's his decision alone when to call quits.
What are the reasons that lead Nikolay to quit? How the community could address them? Does calling him a 'crybaby' help in any way?
There is a vast difference between standing by your work, and being told to change things repeatedly that goes against someone's core philosophy and beliefs.
