Save settings
Save setting - I always want to use 8 bit mode. I do understand that it's not much of an effort to just select 8 bit groups in the menu. How hard can it be? Well - it's just that extra step EVERY time that is annoying. So just being to save the current settings as default would be greatly appreciated.
I know it's possible to manually edit the settings file as per instructions but an easier and more user friendly option would be just to save the current settings to the file.
While generally it is recommended to use the settings to set your preferred default, I can understand that it may be useful, after configuring the options via the commands, to wish there was an easy way to say "accept these current settings as default".
This is the direction I think I will go. I will shy away from auto saving every manual switch as default, but will allow a way to quickly save the current settings as the default.

I plan to target specifically the settings: group_bytes_by_bits and bytes_per_line. Please let me know if there are other settings that make sense. I wasn't planning on it, but maybe inspector_endian makes sense to save?
The two first ones are perfectly fine for me. My context always uses lo/hi endian but others might use something else. Having said that, given that I use 8 bit view, the tools isn't involved in swapping bytes to words anyways so.
