[ANNOUNCEMENT] FBCTF Now Supports Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial)

The Facebook CTF Platform now supports Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial) exclusively. The usage and support of Ubuntu 14.04 is now deprecated.

All installation types now require or utilize Ubuntu 16.04. For those using Vagrant or Docker, this change should be seen the next time you deploy a new container. For those using a Direct Installation mode, you will need to upgrade your host system to Ubuntu 16.04.

As always, we recommend utilizing the Quick Setup process when deploying the platform.

Please Note, the platform:

• is no longer supported on Ubuntu 14.04.
• is unlikely to function on any Ubuntu version other than 16.04.
• now utilizes the latest LTS release of HHVM (3.21); no other versions of HHVM are supported at this time.
• utilizes newer versions of many underlying services (such as HHVM, MySQL, Memcached, etc.); ensure your Ubuntu 16.04 platform is fully up-to-date to ensure compatibility.
