Background / where to download this data
Recently Overture released a huge database of Point of Interest (POI). I guess mainly nodes with Licence compatible with OSM.
Could you please consider to add that Database to the "Suggested" data mechanism, if it's feasible?
There's some more work going into the 2.1 release to help visualize this data. More later!
Update on this, from #1016 - You can view this data in Rapid as a custom data layer now 🎉 Shout out to @bdon for producing the PMTiles archive that includes the data!
This URL will add them as a custom layer (you’ll need to zoom in to start seeing them rendered):

This is read-only for now, but we'll look for the data to improve in quality before we add it as an addable Rapid layer. We can keep an eye on whether the data improves, and leave this issue open for now. 👀
This have been in place for some time and I do not know what the results around the world are, but in my country has been quite disappointing. Hundreds of Overture Points of Interest are by far out of where they are supposed to be originally. Even with mistakes of POI from other countries located inside mine, in woods, crops or wherever place.
Is there a way that we could "help" this to be fixed? I mean if I were a business owner in Facebook I will not like that my bussiness show up several dozens, if not hundreds or thousands of kilometers away from where is really located.
I guess...
