Unhandled exception at startup and chinese font on com port

Open Heljick opened this issue 5 years ago • 5 comments

Hi, Adrilight was working fine in my Windows 10 1909 and now it won't. I have this message on startup.

image

After deleting the adrilight-settings.json file in C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\adrilight which was 0ko I have been able to start Adrilight again and enter my led configuration.

adrilight-settings.json is 1ko at this moment.

But when I select my COM port, which is with chinese font behind (???) adrilight-settings.json informations are erased and sized 0ko

image

When I select "fake port" the adrilight-settings.json get all the information written back into it and size 1ko as usual

So it was working fine before, even with chinese font but not enymore. Any advice ? Why do I have chinese font next to my Com port ?

installed with the precompiled setup.exe on the repo 2.0.9

Regards,

Can you upload the json settings file when the error occurs? Is your windows version in Chinese? Does the Chinese letters after com9 make any sense to you?

Hi @fabsenet, Like I said the json file is 0ko (empty) and my windows is in english, living in France; chinese make no sense to me ^^

Can you let me know what is supposed to be for com9 instead of fake port in the jason file so I can overwrite It and see if that fix the issue: "ComPort": "Fake Port",

Then close adrilight, delete the file and start it again. What happens then?

Like I said on my first post, I deleted the file and restarted Adrilight and did the configuration again and can't make if work anymore as the json file get empty everytime I am selecting my com port.

Can you provide me the code for com9 that should go in the json please so I can try to force It ?

OK fixed it myself by updating com port drivers
