Global CSS cannot be imported from within node_modules

Following the README drives me to the following error:

You need to remove the CSS from the package to work with NextJS. This is my dependency tree:

"next": "13.4.7",
"react": "18.2.0",
"react-dom": "18.2.0",
"react-push-notification": "^1.5.4",
