Design 0.5.0 base theme

I want a fresh new look with the 0.5.0 release.

Please add some light shadows to alerts. In 0.5rc1, I cannot see where alert container begin and where it ends on a white background. Or add semi-transparent dark overlay instead. Just a suggestion.

I just put a very basic starting point, I was hoping to get a designer to jump in and help. It will for sure looking much better for the actual 0.5.0 release.
