Is this file even necessary for this feature? For my Valibot repository GitHub does this automatically.

You can enable Dependabot from Project Settings too, but it still links to Learn more about configuring a dependabot.yml file, and it prompts to create one:

Without this file, I don't think there is a way to configure the schedule interval.

I was inspired by the stale dependencies.
