AM Modulator No Audio Feedback if input sample rate is not the same as output sample rate

Open srcejon opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

It appears that the audio feedback in the AM modulator does not work (at least for me). I left click it to enable it, but do not hear anything when either tone modulator or morse keyer is active (I do see the corresponding spectrum, so the mod is active). Adjusting the volume or audio device doesn't appear to make any difference. Occasionally I'll hear a high pitched click, but nothing that corresponds to the tone or Morse signals being generated.

(Note that I can use an audio device as the source and demodulator audio works OK).

Problem only occurs on Windows. Linux works OK.

Still a problem on Windows with latest version. Will get around to debugging it eventually.

The problem appears to be for both Windows and Linux, that the audio feedback only works if the input audio sample rate is the same as the output audio sample rate. This is quite probably a reasonable constraint, but could perhaps pop up a message box to indicate this to the user, when the audio feedback is enabled and sample rates don't match.
