Add interaction to save camera state as default for the current file in the currently used settings
It would be nice to be able to move around a file to find the right spot to be later used for a thumbnail or a screenshot. One solution to do that would be to be able to save current camera state as a new setting entry for the current file in the user settings.
Being able to easily copy/paste this state into a new window would be nice as well.

wqould be nice if we had like ctrl + a to apply transform of camera for regenerating thumbnail of model easily.
just another QOL Feature that would save a ton of time and help manage big libraries of models.

Sorry this is very unclear, could you precise what you have in mind ?
okay so thumbnails are off for lots of models by default not right angle etc if we could apply cameras rotation and loaction so that the next time you open said file it would open where it last was and also when you regenerate thumnails would allow the thumnail show a different angle.
if its not doable its fine it is a thought and something i would love to work , i know we can adjust default camera pos using config but all models are different if we could save the current camera vector in the viewport would be amazing.
sorry im really bad at describing features will write again in other words if its not clear anyway :D
think would be good if by default the camera position and rotation was saved on exit thta would be even better.
if we could apply cameras rotation and loaction
Well, this is exactly why we added the camera direction feature in F3D 2.1.0, to let user specify a camera direction for files or even a specific file
that the next time you open said file it would open where it last was and also when you regenerate thumnails would allow the thumnail show a different angle.
What could be considered is adding an interaction to save current camera position and focus as default in the settings. We have yet to had modification of the settings from F3D directly so this is now something simple to do but it could be considered
if we could save the current camera vector in the viewport would be amazing.
You can actually copy paste the camera position vector from the terminal output, but that is a bit manual
think would be good if by default the camera position and rotation was saved on exit thta would be even better.
Ok, I understand what you are looking for, I will edit your issue accordingly :)
thank you this would be truly amazing for the overall Workflow of Viewing 3D files. thanks again .
