See http://www.i18nguy.com/unicode/supplementary-test.html for sample chars. According to that page (read the "backgorund" section), the chars provided are part of "IICORE" spec (http://www.i18nguy.com/unicode/supplementary-test.html#IICORE) and hence "quite frequently used"
