feat: add eza chocolatey package

Open PThorpe92 opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Not a windows guy, but when I was forced to use it, chocolatey was a lifesaver.

I registered an account on their website, but unfortunately you need powershell, etc in order to maintain a package.

https://docs.chocolatey.org/en-us/create/create-packages is a helpful resource. In case anyone would like to help out by creating and maintaining a package for Eza

I would love to have this feature! I might be able to do the PR myself, but this would be in a very unforeseeable feature.

In the meantime, if anyone wishes to contribute on this, I believe the following resource list will cover everything:

On Chocolatey auto-maintained packages:

Please note that even if readme.md has a broken link and a warning/disclaimer on top, this fork (from the user created original, and endorsed by Chocolatey) has been made in 2022, since its owner would/could not maintain it anymore.

As of March 2024, the Chocolatey Team released the new 1.0.0 version and announced the process of deprecating the original (and still functional) tool.
