Gallery page of embedded images only zooms .jpg, not others

Open TS6ix2GaH3q679h5 opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Description of the problem

Only some images being expanded on this website. Viewing the gallery homepage, image thumbnails are often just constrained versions of their full size. HoverZoom+ manages to expand some of these, but for some reason not all. Note that these are usually embedded images, not links to full size images. Many are expanded just fine but some don't trigger a HoverZoom pop-up at all even if "Open Image in New Tab" reveals a much larger version of the image.

Url of the page where the problem occurs (not the image url)

Steps to reproduce the problem (include image url here)

Hard to demonstrate exactly because the gallery page is dynamic and updates frequently. Try visiting yourself, hover over multiple thumbnails, and you'll find that 60%~70% will zoom, others will not, even if the others are larger than displayed.

  1. Example of image that zoomed full size for me: https://ncache.ilbe.com/files/attach/new/20220304/377678/11383221695/11399067276/1232916e77a6418ad7ba18f2a0154ec7_11399067303.jpg
  2. Example of image that didn't zoom or trigger the pop-up despite being bigger than the thumbnail: https://ncache.ilbe.com/files/attach/new/20220304/377678/4896564792/11399008027/23695a0225919bdeffd65a899be30646_11399008742.jpeg
  3. Edit: Further testing seems like embedded images ending in the ".jpg" suffix will expand, but others (.jpeg, .png) will not. Maybe this is the key to the problem?

It may be region blocked for you. But it's really just an example. The point seems to be mainly not that site but the suffix of the image files, as I said above:

It seems like embedded images ending in the ".jpg" suffix will expand, but others (.jpeg, .png) will not.

Any way that could be addressed?
