Several issues with Reddit
Using the old Reddit layout (old.reddit.com), video audio only plays after opening a post. Audio is also delayed. On the new layout, HoverZoom doesn't work with videos or image albums.
- Windows 10
- Firefox 104.0.1
- HoverZoom 1.0.196
Same issue here with new reddit layout (using the compact layout theme).
Nothing that is hosted on reddit directly works to be zoomed on. Anything that is hosted off-reddit (i.e. imgur), works as intended.
- Windows 10
- Chrome 104.0.5112
- HoverZoom 1.0.196

Description of the problem
Old Reddit: If you hover your mouse over a video thumbnail, the video plays but the audio is muted. After you open a post and hover over a thumbnail again, audio plays but it is delayed. New Reddit: Nothing happens if you hover your mouse over a video thumbnail or an image album.
Url of the page where the problem occurs (not the image url)
https://www.old.reddit.com/ https://www.reddit.com/
Steps to reproduce the problem
- Go to https://www.old.reddit.com
- Hover over any video thumbnail (there is no audio)
- Open the post by clicking on the grey play button next to the thumbnail, then close the post
- Hover over the thumbnail again (audio is delayed)
- Go to https://www.reddit.com/
- Hover over a video thumbnail or image album (nothing happens)
OS version, extension version

I hope this is clear enough.
It's better. Do you have a specific url on reddit (or a subreddit that consists mostly of such urls) that doesn't work? My reddit frontpage is different from yours because of personalization.

I also recorded a clip so you can see and hear what it's like for me: https://i.imgur.com/etw6b1V.mp4
Thank you for the repro. I can see the problem, but when I tried exactly the same video on my local machine, there was no gap between audio and video. 🤷🏻♂️ @GrosPoulet any ideas?
Sorry, no gap on my pc (Win10, Chrome 105.0.5195.102, HZ+ 1.0.196)
I noticed a workaround for the audio sync issue:
Once the video starts playing, if I use the previous image action key (arrow keys on mine) to skip back to the beginning, the audio is properly synched for me. I assume you'd need to have the "Use prev/next action keys (or mousewheel) to change video position" option enabled for that to work.
