Running multiple thunderbolt ports between two mac minis?
Hi guys!
i've got thunderbolt running on exo reliably for one connection using the 'exo --interface-type-filter Thunderbolt' command
My question now becomes is it possible to connect two thunderbolt ports for 80Gbps xfer instead of 40? I've read somewhere it's possible to do this, but no mention of how.
Are you talking about link aggregation?. I donβt think thunderbolt supports it.
@esper2142 How much of a token per second drop did you experience when linked? My single mac mini dropped from around 130 to 25-30 with 3 linked.

I've come to realize that most of the clustering problems are miscommunications in thunderbolt. Once I got everything situated and verified, I could ping between the workstations. At sub-second response times, I noticed a dramatic improvement in performance. If you can't ping between workstations at sub-second performance, you're going to run into issues.
Can we have multiple TCP links between 2 MacMinis with multiple Thunderbolt connections? Does exo support using multiple IPs to same machine to increase bandwidth?
We hope to ship link aggregation in a future update!
