Find some mentors

Open stevejb71 opened this issue 7 years ago • 8 comments

I'm the sole mentor for ReasonML and OCaml tracks.

Neither tracks have many submissions (I'd guess less than 20 a week between the two of them, with OCaml having the bulk). Even though the workload is quite light, it would be good to have second mentors - to cover me on holidays, and for a bit more diversity of opinion.

I would like to help out, but I think I'm not good enough with ReasonML to be a mentor. You have seen my code, so if you think I can help I can give it a try.

Mentoring's a great way to learn the language. You will get a genuine feeling of helping people at times as well which makes it worth it. I'd be very happy to have you on the track.

Here's the sign up link if you want to try: http://mentoring.exercism.io

@voila thanks - I'd appreciate help with the ocaml track too.

I can see ReasonML on the mentoring config page, which is https://exercism.io/mentor/configure.

If you are mentoring ReasonML, can you please add yourselves to this list - there is only @stevejb71 as of now. I rarely mentor.

To add your name - you will need to send a PR to this repo eg: https://github.com/exercism/website-copy/pull/223/files. Add yourself to the json file with your name. eg. t.json for me (tejasbubane).

Thanks.

hi, guys, @stevejb71 is reasonML track still mentored or should I switch to the independent mode?

I'm mentoring less frequently than previously. I'll get round to your submission eventually, but if you feel the response is too slow, feel free to switch.
