Crash while update is ongoing
Crash of Konsole during update:
- happened several times on two different pc (Intel and AMD)
- only with Apdatifier not with e.g.
paru -Syu --aur - only with Apdatifier while updating/ building AUR-packages
Every time when this happened i had to clean the cache of AUR helper (paru) to update AUR manually I'm not shure this is apdatifier specific or upstream, see stack trace though it happened only with apdatifier

Plasmashell crashed entirely Note that I just had to recover broken boot partition after apdatifier/ konsole/ plasmashell crashed during an update of the kernel & boot entries! First time it did it during pacman update and not only while paru/ AUR updates! So I shouldn't let apdatifier update my system for the time being!

Version 2.7. --> I cannot remember exactly. Most the times i update it with -->add widget --> new widgets etc don't know whether its with the latest commits
I haven't experienced such crashes even with 200+ updates, but I use yay. You can try this version. apdatifier_2.7-git.zip

OK, where are the config settings stored?
Plasma saves the settings of the desktop/panels/widgets in a single file located at ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc
What version do you have installed? From the KDE Store (the same as the release on GitHub) or with the latest commits?
I recall the way I installed apdatifier as lately:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/exequtic/apdatifier/main/package/contents/tools/tools.sh | sh -s install
