Ghostty terminal doesn’t open scripts

Open MrSmartEpants opened this issue 3 months ago • 4 comments

Apdatifier was working great for a couple of months, now it doesn't and I don't know why (*Edit, Ghostty updated). I've tried uninstalling it (both from the 'uninstall' button, and via the terminal using the command from here. Re-installed from the KDE widget store. Currently using v2.9.4. Configured for all update repos (Arch, AUR, Flatpak, and widgets). The error occurs when clicking the 'Management' (toolbox) icon or the 'Upgrade system' (terminal) icon from the tray. The other icons in the Apdatifier tray app work fine. The bash error shows a file-not-found error, when clearly the file exists in the path defined (screenshot). Let me know what info you need and I will update this thread.

Also, trying to upgrade the plasmoid to the dev version gives a similar error. Settings -> General -> Misc -> Install Development version

It looks like the issue is with the Ghostty terminal. Did it stop working after you updated Ghostty? Can you switch to another terminal to check?

Yeah, you're right. Switching to Konsole allows the functions to work OK.
Ghostty still works great for everything else though, any idea what the problem is?

any idea what the problem is?

Previously, Ghostty required wrapping the script path in extra quotes, but in the new version this is no longer needed.

I’ve fixed it, so it should work now.
