Have a tag based organization for notebooks

Open DPotoyan opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

Context

We are developing an educational jupyter-book-based resource that will host various notebooks on chemistry, physics, biology, and astronomy. Given the multidisciplinary nature of the resource, there will be many overlapping topics.

Therefore we think that having various tags for searching will be helpful. E.g. being able to select #quantum #ML #chem will show notebooks at the intersection of quantum chemistry and machine learning.

Many blogs have such a tag-based organization of topics. Is there an easy way to achieve this within jupyter-book/sphinx format?

Proposal

Creates tags for organizing notebooks in addition to TOC. Specifically enabling having an ability to search content by selecting multiple tags. E.g #chem #ML to find topics at the intersection of chemistry and machine learning.
