[BUG]

Open ghost opened this issue 1 year ago • 14 comments

Describe the bug I have made a fresh install of the Pwnagotchi ISO on a Raspberry Pi Zero WH and have not been able to connect to the pwnagotchi. Windows 11 does not detect the pwnagotchi and installing RDNIS drivers does not resolve the issue

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Plug In pwnagotchi
  2. Check devices/networks

Expected behavior I expected the Pwnagotchi to show up in devices as an RDNIS gadget, especially since I have drivers installed for RDNIS that have worked on Windows 10.

Environment (please complete the following information):

  • Pwnagotchi version 1.5.5
  • OS version Windows 11 22H2
  • Any additional hardware used High speed Micro USB cable (used 2 different ones for troubleshooting)

Additional context Someone mentioned they have the same issue in #975 with the same OS (Windows 11)

I did, that worked fine. But how do i enter the pwnagotchi? It says it recognize it as a ethernet device. But i cant do anything with it.

Probably i just miss something out, but what?

I did on my macbook.

Couldent do it for some reason on the windows.

Ip is 10.0.0.2 just the regular

azrael-tzel avatar Sep 27 '23 14:09 azrael-tzel

You have to set it in windows also. If you can't do that, it will be a real challenge to operate the gotchi from ssh.

Yeah but how?

I cant find it, so i think there is something i dont see or get in the process.

Followed the whole step guide. Wrote the code on the basic template.

Did what i had to do in the programm you mentioned. There it showed up.

Now when i plug it in my windows 11 laptop, i see Ethernet device. But it gives nothing and cant acces it.

I also tried things in the settings. Also nothing.

If i ping the pwnagotchi in terminal, it pings back as it should.

Maybe need to do something in the file? Or maybe i dont see a crucial step?

I used the file for the v3 screen. And the pwnagotchi does what it has to do aswell.

It has nothing to do with the gotchi settings. Configure the Ethernet adapter settings and ssh into it.

azrael-tzel avatar Sep 27 '23 16:09 azrael-tzel

Its aliveee 👾

Just had to play around with the last numbers of the ip in terminal 🤷 pretty weird.

But it works 👍🏻

how did you manage to set it in windows?

edit: for anyone wondering, I found it out. You need to go into adapter preferences (I can't remember the proper name) > right click on the ethernet adapter your computer sees the Pwnagotchi as (it'll usually say Unidentified, No Internet on it) > Properties > In the list of checkboxes, there'll be one that mentions an IPv4 protocol, double click that > Choose the option to manually set and then follow the official guide for the values you need to input here. Bonus guide: if you're using Flippagotchi like me, you'll need to access the Web UI first, go into Plugins and turn on PwnZero, then reopen the Flippagotchi app.
