Question/Feature Request: Can I save the timelapse somehow?

The title pretty much has it all; Can I somehow save the time lapse as .mp4 or whatever format? What I'd like to achieve is to store 24h time lapse in 2 minutes of video every day, for each day as a separate file. I tried just opening the stream (with and without Loop playback) and saving it, but that didn't work out.
