Manage multiple vehicles concurrently
EVCC has multitude ways of collecting car information. Recently BMW CarData API is one of them and works very well.
However, EVCC does not expose the collected information anywhere else.
The MQTT topic contains only battery capacity and SOC limit imposed by EVCC.
** Alternatives considered **
Loadpoint will expose a lot of information about the vehicle (SOC, Range, Odometer) when the car is connected. But it is only temporary (when car is connected) and if multiple cars can be connected to the same loadpoint, makes reading that data cumbersoe.
** Requested behaviour **
Would it be possible to include all of the information gathered by EVCC in the vehicle topic and through API? Range, SOC, Vehicle SOC Limit, Connection Status and Odometer are a few that are shown by EVCC, but not published anywhere...
Put it in the backlog. There are no plans to do this anytime soon, but this definitely would be an improvement.
I just noticed that the URL endpoint /api/config/devices/vehicle/{vehicle_name}/status already exists in the codebase and exposes all requested information.
It is not documented anywhere, so I guess it is internal, isn't it?
