"Oops, an error has occurred" on search

I've had this extension installed for about 6 months and have never been able to make search work - I get "Oops" every time.

Seconded. Every time I hit enter in the searchbox I get : "Oops, an error occurred. This has been reported to the developer."

I would REALLY like this to work. It's been a few years now, still not fixed or any indication of anyone working on this. I'm willing to help fix this myself, but I might need some pointers in getting started in extension development.

Hi there, I am using this extension for many years, I have the same issue for a long time. Today, I spent some time to test, I found out, some keyword works, some keyword does not work. It is a interesting issue, I hope developer can try to find out. Thank you in advance.
