Can you please share the proguard rules for this library?

The app is crashing in release mode due to proguard rules. So, can you please share the proguard rules associated with this library?

I have never used ProGuard so I don't know what rules would be required to run ExcelKt, though it seems like there might be some information about running Apache POI (the excel library used by ExcelKt) on Android which is talked about here.

If that doesn't work, or if it still raises errors about specific ExcelKt files, I can try to set up an android project myself to see if I can figure out what ProGuard rules would be required, but it will be a few weeks before I have time to look into that.

Thank you for your response. I've referred this page last week, but no luck. Seems like we need to keep lot more packages in proguard. After adding your library into my prod app, it makes me to disable the minified = false at the moment. Obviously, it increases my app's download size from 6 MB to 26 MB at the moment 😏. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.piappstudio.giftregister

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Just enable minified=true in grade.
  2. Generate release build manually and test
  3. Please don't trust debug build at any point in time
