EV3 booting into default firmware

What are you trying to do?

I am trying to install ev3dev to my ev3

What did you expect to happen

the EV3 should've booted into ev3dev.

What actually happened

The EV3 has booted into it's default firmware, ignoring the SD card.

Desktop:

• OS: MacOS 11.7.8
• Software: Balena Etcher

Robot:

• Device: EV3

This could be:

• improperly flashed SD card (do you see the boot partition when you plug it into your computer?)
• defective SD card (try a different card)
• defective SD card slot (try a different EV3)
