Permissions on auth and history files

Open maximal opened this issue 11 years ago • 1 comments

Why the hell permissions of history files and files with stored account passwords are set by default?

On Ubuntu 13.10 after clean Qutim install I get user:user 664 on files and user:user 755 on directories. Thus other users may have read access to these very sensitive data.

This is maintainer’s issue, I deem, but I have no idea where else to post this.

Or, if I’m mistaken, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Hi!

I don't like Qutim but I still can do that:

$ apt-cache show qutim | grep -i maintain Maintainer: Ubuntu Developers [email protected] Original-Maintainer: Alexander Kopf [email protected]

Hope this helps.
