I know hashcards is pretty new, but could it be installed to Mac platforms via brew at some point in time?

You could try and write a brew tap yourself :)

Or maybe check mise out, which can install pretty much anything that uses GitHub releases: mise use -g ubi:eudoxia0/hashcards

I don't use macOS any more, but if someone else wants to make a Brew package for it, they are welcome to.
