Random blank screens on focus changes
Sometimes, when I put focus on another program (For example, Windows Explorer as in a case where I need to fix a noteskin after an error pops up.) focusing back on Etterna will give a blank screen, but is still fully functional otherwise.

To clarify, this only happens when playing in Fullscreen right? That should be the only case.
Not only full screen, as I’ve seen it happen in windowed too, including after I was done fixing up noteskins from an error.

If this is happening on windowed I need better confirmation, evidence, and information about the specs of the system and options set in the game. (particularly interested in d3d/opengl, refresh rate, etc)
In a bunch of the noteskins I had, what went wrong included duplicated files in them. I don’t have access to the build right now other than knowing I might be using the defaults for the options asked, my best bet looks like replication.
Suppose we take a noteskin with many individual files, then copy and paste all of the contents, accept duplicates as new files with a (1) appended, and then select the duped noteskin before gameplay, fix the errors by removing the appended files as they are called one at a time, retrying after each, it might be enough focus loss to (hopefully, as this might depend on the amount of duplicated elements in said noteskin) cause the bug to appear, where the music plays, but no steps or interface. If you’re lucky, this has a chance of happening before the player options, again, on a per noteskin basis.

i actually get this consistently if i open photoshop while the game is open, and have had the issue with other programs as well (that i can't remember)
I have not seen it recently, but I of course fear it could still be an issue. Maybe by leaving Etterna open in the background you'll know whether it's there or not. I cannot guarantee this will happen the first time at recreating this issue, but if it ever does happen at all, can someone take note?
BIG NEWS ON THIS!
I have found that there may be process overlaying issues, and I somehow made Etterna blink rather consistently with Windows Explorer. I say this because the bug happened to me again, and this time, as I opened the Explorer file preview on a text file, Etterna went blank. On the recording, it blinks, but I have gotten it to go blank before, and maybe this blinking is part of why it goes blank at all.
Can we investigate the blinking, at least, or can you guys see if the Explorer file previewer can cause a blackout on your end?

I understand. Windows 11 is slowly creeping in as it is. And when I say slowly, I mean s l o w l y.

it certainly is some kind of lead. no idea what causes it. i accidentally triggered it (game went full black and was unrecoverable but responsive) on my first try when i activated the pane and then after i restarted the game i couldnt reproduce it anymore
