Take updates from email / jabber

It would be cool to have opsweekly poll an email account which accepts updates and appends them to a user's record. Similarly, it could accept updates from any medium, eg Jabber. Maybe some kind of generic plugin interface for accepting updates?

I've done this by using logstash with imap plugin for input. I had to use grok to do some modification to fit with logstash oncall provider example
