Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe
The current architecture for Product variations is very annoying to deal with. Some of out product's can't be mapped properly and some can't be uploaded at all.
One example: We sell a lot of T-Shirts but we don't have every size in every color We cannot upload some shirts because of "All combinations of property values must be supplied."
Another annoyance is how the complete Listing is restricted to 10 images. Wich makes Listings with more than 10 Variations completely impossible.
Describe the solution you'd like
Ideally the Architecture would be a bit more sensible and allow more detailed settings for the Variations.
The German Plattform OTTO solved this pretty good in my opinion. They use a single "product" model. Every product with the same "productReference" gets grouped into one. Separated by the sku for different variations. Every "ProductVariation" can have different images and attributes.
I realize this would be a huge change and probably not easy to restructure. Consider this as a suggestion for long term future development. I think if Etsy continues to grow this structure has to improve.
As we are planing to expand our product catalogue on Etsy by a lot in the near future we will have to make compromises. Would welcome a bit of a thought exchange about this topic :)
