MacOS: Freeze when entering a server with big voice chat pk3 file

When I try to join the server that contains my old custom voice chat pack the game freezes on my MacBook. My friend plays on Linux and it works for him somehow.

I experimented with the pk3 file contents to see what the issue is. It looks like it does not matter how many wav files there are in the package, just how many are added in wm_quickmessageAlt.menu file. I am attaching the file here PM_Voice_Chat.pk3.zip.
