Can chatbots respond to inline widgets?

I've found a proposal about inline widgets for matrix: MSC2192: Inline widgets.

It seems that this feature has already been implemented in the Element client. If buttons could be displayed on bot messages, it would be very convenient for some quick interactions, such as bot settings. This way, users wouldn't have to rely on command lines, similar to how this Telegram bot works:
