Community Fork
I have forked the projects to a new github org. This project has not been updated in two years. https://github.com/pysnmp
The tags I used were based on the last stable release versions not the main/master edge and we are going forward from there.
This fork is pysnmplib
in PyPI?
yes
I congratulate you on the initiative!
But, would also like to suggest an improvement in the documentation, mainly in relation to the functioning of the mib and the manager. I've seen many developers have headaches thinking that pysnmp reads mibs files instead of parsing and interpreting id objects individually.
Have you considered doing a PEP541 name transfer to take ownership of pysnmp on PyPI?
Unfortunately, Ilya has passed away: https://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack-discuss/2022-August/030062.html. So please continue with the community fork.
@kassane For latest documentation, you can keep an eye on https://github.com/etingof/pysnmp/issues/429 and https://pysnmp.com.
