Unsightly artifacts showing up in many fonts

I've been working in A-Frame for a little while now and have just stumbled upon this a few days ago. Needless to say I was excited by it's potential usefulness.

The only issue I'm noticing is that many fonts are showing unsightly artifacts and rounded edges in some cases. Is there any way to remedy this?
