API key not found in local storage

After successfully downloading and running Swarm Desktop for Mac OS arm64 (all checks were green), redeeming of promotional code failed with the following error message: "Failed to upgrade: Error: API key not found in local storage".

OS Version: Mac OS 11.2.2
