Problem connecting MetaMask

When clicking on MetaMask there is a blinking thing behind MetaMask but it does not connect:

Would love WalletConnect even more - but MetaMask (which I use as a fallback in cases WalletConnect is not available) should also work.

It is a linux computer and the browser is brave

I just spun up a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 VM with Brave to test this out and and was unable to replicate this problem. Could you provide some more details on your setup please.

Is it possible Brave's native crypto wallet (a thin layer over Metamask) is fighting your Metamask extension? Both approaches work (I've tested them myself), but I am wondering if somehow both are communicating with the site.

Interestingly it just worked for me for the spadina testnet. Same browser. Not yet sure what special condition triggers the bug yet ..

I've just had the exact same problem. I decided to use the Firefox Web Browser and it didn't complain on the same system.
