Trying to run 0.8.0 as a last recovery attempt, how to light node?

Hi, as a last attempt on recovering a locked wallet - I'll be trying to run Ethereum wallet 0.8.0(and 0.7.4 aswell) (the wallet version that created it)

The only problem is the syncing.

is there anyway I can check the wallet's password via command line (but using this version) or just run the wallet as light node?

i've tried running geth.exe( -syncmode light) and Ethereum wallet(-node-light) but it doesnt work for me (just shows me the list of options)
