Mist - Import accounts does not work

When I drop a valid file onto the "Import accounts" view, it shows an animation for a moment as if it's loading the wallet file, then the window disappears and nothing happens. It doesn't show up under 'Accounts' inside the 'Ethereum Wallet' view in Mist. It doesn't log anything to node.log. Nothing about it shows up in console either.

I was able to import accounts by manually copying files, but this GUI behavior should get fixed.

@baobabKoodaa could you please start Mist from the terminal and check for any error message? Also what application/service did you use to create the account keyfile?

Sorry, I don't want to break anything now that it's working for me. I used Ethereum Wallet-0-8-8 to create the keyfiles. When the issue occurred, Mist was in the process of downloading the blockchain.

Make sure to use 0.8.9. In earlier releases the importer did only work for pre-sale wallets.

I i encountered the same issue, I drag and drop file, and window desapears. I have files in Ethereum\keystore but wallets doesn't apear in ui.

Me too, Ethereum Wallet - Drag and drop and it closes. Trying to sync with Mist to see if Tokens show correctly.

I noticed that folder has few other files, like updates i just left the proper one and now it works like charm.

Have this issue right now with 0.11.1 macOS 10.13.6

• Drag/drop: animation and nothing in the UI (it did place the keyfile in Library/Etherium/keystore)
• Add account also does the same thing

I now have 4 keyfiles in the folder, and "NO ACCOUNTS YET" in the UI
