ENS reveal phase, people keep bidding???

Hello. Regarding revealing bids. Are people allowed to bid after you reveal your bid for your ENS name? I had to reveal my bid twice (2) for a name. The first time I revealed my bid I won the name- no one bid higher. I checked the name 2 hours later and found I lost the bid and must reveal the bid again. I thought " after you reveal the bids, no more bidding allowed." Why am I revealing the bids twice for my chosen name? Is there something wrong with the process. I'm using Metamask, Please help... thank you
