Yes, the issue is the text... As you saw, there was an option to adjust the aligned panel to the tree's furthest leaf (plus an arbitrary space that accounts for the text .... although this value could be modified from the control panel, it is not an elegant solution)

Nonetheless, I left this issue as you mentioned that it had an unnatural behavior to the user, specially when the tree is "under" the aligned panel. We could obviously go over it again, in my opinion it could be a nice feature
