Photos don't sync
When syncing contacts from iPhone to EteSync, associated photos are not included. All other contact fields upload just fine.
Tested on iOS 13.4.5 (17F5044d)
I have this same issue. Etesync doesn't seem to sync my contacts' photos from the default contacts app on iOS and macOS.
Hey, I'm aware of it, but completely forgot about it. I'll try to fix it in the next few days, if I don't, please remind me. :)
I took a look into it and figured most of it out, so I already implemented it in the web client (which shares a lot of code with the iOS client). Web changes: https://github.com/etesync/etesync-web/commit/2547fb9ae74dd9e53a90cd0c9093c6ef77e819f1
Though unfortunately the iOS changes were a bit more difficult and I got pulled away from it. It shouldn't be too hard, but I'm working on some more pressing matter at the moment unfortunately.

Hey, just noticed the same @tasn and then saw you wanted a chase-up, so just figured I’d ping in case you had a moment to look at it :) FWIW I did have this working through the DAV bridge on iOS but just hasn’t worked on the native client (which is what I’d prefer to be using)
Bump. I'll add this here, as it is the same topic contact pictures: My iOS contact pictures even get deleted when EteSync is running & syncing.
No device has pictures set at start. After I set a picture in iOS and sync to another android phone when a sync back to iOS is complete the picture is gone. I don't see any reason for this in the sync protocol.
Anyone else here with this problem? Should I open another bug report with more detailed information about version numbers, device and server information or is the whole picture thing discontinued and will never be fixed / implemented? It annoys me pretty hard, as I like to have pictures attached in my messages.

I just got all this up and running tonight - and all of my contact pictures got deleted. All of them. I'm trying to figure out how to get them back but have not been able to do so. Have you managed to get yours restored?
Unfortunately I've noted the iOS version of the app hasn't been updated in over a year, so it feels largely abandoned at the moment :(
