Selfhosted Docker error sending request for url

I'm trying to setup the etesync-dav docker on an existing etebase docker container.

I think I manage to setup my etebase user with etesync-dav but if I'm trying to login in etesync-dav the follwing login page hands me the error:

error sending request for url (http://192.168.1.25:3735/api/v1/authentication/login/): connection closed before message completed

This all happens after I'm setting up the container with docker compose. If I'm following the normal directions of first using docker run -it --rm -v etesync-dav:/data etesync/etesync-dav manage add USERNAME I end up with the error:

etebase_python.Error: User not found
