The "Notification Settings" feature cannot be accessed or used.
Actual behaviour
When I use the "Settings Notification" feature to Manage their channels and notification settings. Supposedly, that ability can be done well.
Expected behaviour
The "Notification Settings" feature cannot be accessed or used. So that I can't manage channels and notification settings.
Step to reproduce
-
Install and open the application.
-
Sign In using the account that you previously created. If you do not have an account, you must register first.
-
Open application settings, activate the "Notification Settings" feature.
-
Then you will find problems like I have experienced.
Information
- Device: Nubia n2 lite
- Android version: 8.1.0
- Application version: 1.4.9

It works for me here (on multiple devices and Android versions), do you experience the same issue with other apps that have a link to the notification channels settings from the app itself?
No, I can do it on other applications. This problem only occurs in the EteSync application.
Can you fix it?
I really appreciate that.
Best regard.
Can you please try this version: https://stosb.com/~tom/etesync-notification-settings.apk It's signed with the release key so you can be sure it hasn't been tampered with, and it can also be installed on top of an existing EteSync installation. Other than that, I really have no clue what it could be. Even what I changed shouldn't make a difference unless your ROM is doing something weird.
Do you use any other open source applications where this works? Maybe I can take a look at their code if you do.
I have successfully installed this application v. 1.4 10. But l must uninstall the application v1.4.9. The "Notification Settings" feature still cannot be used. I do not use other open source applications where this works.
And, I have succeeded in creating an address book in this version. But with a note, it must deactivate the "Override proxy settings" feature.
This version changed nothing regarding the proxy settings. As I said in #79, you're using a bad proxy (no proxy at all?) - override proxy settings should definitely be off if you're not using a proxy...
Anyhow, I'm sorry, but I have no idea how to fix this. It works on all of my devices and the code is correct for all I can see (it's very simple).
