Contacts In 3 groups do not sync

I have some contacts which are in 3 groups, and when I sync my contacts to another device it will show that the contact is only apart of 2 of the 3 groups.

So the contacts themselves sync, but not the groups? Anything unique about the group that doesn't sync? Which client doesn't it sync to? Could you edit the group (add the contact again, or remove them) and then click sync does it show the group in the change history? Keep in mind that due to Android limitations contacts don't sync immediately but may take a few minutes.

If I had to guess, what I'd think is going on: you added the group on another contacts account, not the EteSync one, and then added the contacts to that group. The group doesn't sync to etesync because it's not part of the etesync account, but otherwise it all looks the same. Is the group even in the etesync change journal?

I am syncing the contacts and contact groups between two Android devices. The contact apps I have on both devices is the default samsung contacts app and Simple Contacts from F-Droid.

I deleted the default phone contact groups on both devices. I tried removing the contact from all the group and re-adding them but the issue still persists. It will appear contact can only be in two groups at the max.

Can you take a look at the change journal? It should show you when groups are updated. If it's updated there, then it's updated in etesync... We don't have any limitations on group size, and I don't see how such limitations can even come to be.

I still think the issue is that the group is in a different contact account. Try adding a group to the etesync account, and adding these contacts there, does that make a difference?
