Ascension

I posted this in the /vg/ thread but it 404d so I don't know if you saw it. I don't really like how the ascension/legacy system works so this was just some thoughts on it, paragraph 3 in particular.

I get that no need to be neat is meant to make it less of a slog to get back to bag of holding, but one of the things about resetting is that you probably want to have stuff to do again, instead of just waiting around for inf glass.

Some people would probably want to keep their shit though, so just make it an option I guess. If you reset without keeping neat, then maybe get an extra prize, but that's just a maybe.

Also, for prizes, them being random and changing on reset seems a bit stupid. Two things I'd suggest is 1: Keep the same ones you have when you reset, and 2: maybe choose the ones you want to get. When you reset with bag of holding or the other bags you get X points and you can get prizes with them.

I'd also suggest changing around what is what tier. For instance between the cracks is like tier 2 or 3 I think when it'd make sense for it to be tier 1, with tier 1 having a good few things that seem 'too powerful' to be in tier 1.

Good idea, some extra bonus for those who choose not to buy it so they can do the tool-buying phase again. I like it.

I like this idea too! Well except that means I can't get away with having useless prizes anymore. Which is probably for the best :P

And yeah some tier changes are in order.

Maybe set it up so that you buy it, and then there's an option. A big part of Molpy Down is that you unlock a ton of boosts almost at once. It's rather easy to accidentally buy something when you're going through and rebuying everything.

Ah like make it something you can toggle ~~off~~between two different rewards.

For when you do this, a new tier 1 prize that I'd greatly appreciate would be to remove the limit to the amount of temporal duplicates you can have, as before you get into temporal duplication the limit is 30.

I think bag of jolting near-mimics the aforementioned TD limit, because the boost isn't lost or something.

The issue as a whole should probably be up though.

Technically, there isn't a limit on temporal duplicates, just invader NexPixBots I believe. That limit is 30. Is that what you're wanting to change?

How do you mean useless prizes? As opposite to useful prizes? As far as i can tell there are no real useful prizes, except some are a lil bit more useless than others. Most prizes make the next molpy down slightly shorter, but non of them are crucial for any lategame resource anyway, they just make them slightly easier to get. So far i did one molpy down, and it took me only around 3-4 days to recover to where i was, and get beyond.

Anyway, the reason that there are prizes is enough for me to go and molpy down a few more times untill i all of them.

Back on topic: I too like the idea to be able to reactivate certain grinds in trade for extra prizes.

As for useless prizes and keeping things interesting: Instead of unlocking 2 more prizes every time, unlock just 1 permanent, and let people choice what second they buy. Possible limiting the second prize they buy to a small subset too (only 2 in the shop at the same time or something).

I guess I mean absolutely useless prizes, as distinguished from almost useless prizes.

Perhaps we should make a wiki page for working out what the proper prize order should be. This format doesn't work so well for it.
