Redundakinghts pulling from the wrong pool?
I guess I should report this here instead of just replying to the update release thread on Reddit.
I noticed that my Wyverns at 930 are getting attacked by Lords from the early 900s, as in 907 and the like. Shouldn't they be coming from a later NP?
I reworked some of the code that was related to which NP# attacks come from and removed one of the parts that was boosting the number significantly while I was also removing the part that made princesses raise the NP# of attacking knights as neither effect would have been viable past this point as the next tier up of enemies is I believe a Quadrillion times stronger than lords.
What you are seeing is the +/- 30 spread which is still in.
Edit: Just checked it shouldn't ever return a negative NP# currently, but it can return 0 which was fine in my testing.
Disabling the NP gain from princesses is all well and good, but shouldn't knight attacks come from NPs that are later than the NP that they are attacking? Currently it seems like Wyverns are just attacked by 900 + (1-30) no matter where they are fledged. Shouldn't that only be until they are fledged at 900 or so. If I recall, it should be until they reach 780, then it is their current NP+(120-150). Granted, that would mean that I would likely not be able to fight knights if I fledged past 900, but I just thought I would bring it up, since it is a bit of a change, and I wasn't sure if it was intentional or not.
I really need to sit down and play actively, I am starting to worry things are working the way I remember them. The change was mainly intentional if a little quick and lazy but I had small hopes we would find a better solution before going to 4.0 public but the inspiration never came to anyone within the small testing circle.
I don't know if I am a cutting edge dragon player but before the change it would have been the max of (900 or NP#) +90 +/-(1 to 30) for Wyverns which I feel resulted in a lot of sitting and waiting if you were trying to get 901 in a row to start on breath as the fights were fairly likely wipeouts.
I will admit that I still have not picked up WotP to put on top my atk focused dragons and that may have scewed my results. Altho I think it has come out that there is more atk potential currently than def so def focused players might be complaining now while the atk players would be happy if the older formula was still in.
