Suggestion: Logicat Overkill Boost

Open Dragonayzer opened this issue 10 years ago • 2 comments

Since Logicat becomes a massive grind at some point while implying a lot of waiting for large numbers of puzzles at once, I thought one more logicat buff could be added.

The idea of the boost is simple: when one of Logicat questions has 'or', which is true because of both left and right parts (nothing would've changed if it was 'and' there) - player can choose an 'overkill' over the simple 'true' button (should be available at any 'or' question). If it's really so - the player gets some little bonus, and if there is no overkill when the player chose it - it gives some negative effect on this logicat.

The same process may also work for a negative 'and' (if neither left nor right part is true).

It seems to be a nifty way to break the monotonic grind - and give a new way to get to new boosts (inspired by commentaries in Dragon Beta and me myself being stuck in the 500 - 5K PR gap).

My thoughts (a bit more deep):

First of all, I believe it should be added in some place near 1K PR: maybe at 500 PR since the grind begins being nasty there, or, maybe, at 5000 PR, since (probably) then player gets the feeling of it being THAT grindy - and here is a new buff which may make it so less of a grind (I myself am at 2000.5 PR, and I really need some target to get it moving, while Tangled Tesarract or infinite goats/mustard are so far away that they don't seem like a achievable target at the moment).

As for the reward - it's very hard for me to suggest anything, but I was thinking on something like giving 5% of current max PR upgrade requirement untill PR is at cap, and then giving the same 5% of maximum Dragon Forge upgrade (or just giving what is more of these two in the first place).

This way it may even be of use at the cutting edge, if done properly.

And yes, I myself think that such reward would be too OP, but have no better suggestions now.
