Chipmunk3 and .chip location
Previously with Chipmunk 2 any bookmark or setting would save a .chip in same location as the log file. This was convenient since 1. one would immediately know that file had some bookmarks or notes and 2. it would allow someone else to open the same file on their chipmunk installation and get the same bookmarks.
On Chipmunk 3 it appears these are saved somewhere else? I tried to check under ~/.chipmunk but could not understand where it was stored. In any case I feel the previous method for Chipmunk 2 was more convenient.
Hello @agamotto, thanks for the feedback. That's a good point.
Yes, as you've noticed in chipmunk 3 we've changed the way to store session-state. We are working on an alternative way to "share" user's file state. I'm not sure files .chip will back, but I'm sure chipmunk 3 (as 2) will allow users share states.
As soon as this feature is in progress still, we are not announcing it.
Thanks for the feedback, I will keep an eye on beta releases but for now Chipmunk2 will remain my daily driver (due to mentioned convenience). Thanks for your hard work!
