I think it would be amazing to have a broadcast funtion on the I2S interface. An automation to send the audio in the I2S mic to the media players. It would be PPT intercom.

For a dorbell I think we need to use SIP. This is more like an intercom, just like a WALKIE TALKIE.

Depends. If HA App already supports Assist, then we could use the same thing for bidirectional communication. Or HA can acts as SIP GW...

I looking for ways to play the recorded audio in other media player but it seems to be out of my reach. I know the audio is stored as a variable called X but it seems to be in the ESPHOME NODE and not in home assistan.

What I want to do is have a node with a mic and a bunch of buttoms, 1 per home assistant media player in a room. Push de 1 button and speak and have the audio played on the room that contain the respective media player. Other buttom could be to have the audio played on all media players.

I'm using HA recorder card from HACS. Now from the HA Companion APP I can record an audio file and play in any media player using an automation.
